Why Your Website Needs HitChecker
1999 - 2009
Our founder and CEO Gary spent over 10 years managing over 300 websites for a large technology company in Atlanta. Every day he and his team needed to know who the visitors were that came to each website, how they got there, what they did on the website, and if there anything that needed to have immediate attention. To do this, he had to contact a data analyst in IT to run a Google Analytics report for each website. The problem was the reports were outdated. He needed real-time information, not something where he had to constantly ask IT for help. The reports were also overly complicated. He needed information about the visitors and the websites that anyone could quickly understand because he was busy doing other things and didn't have time to get a data analyst to interpret what Google Analytics was saying.
Finding himself at a point of transition in his career, Gary wanted to solve the problem he had running over 300 websites, and he believed that every website owner probably had the same problems with Google Analytics - it was a good tool with tons of information but you needed a data analyst and lot of time to get any use out of it.
The vision for HitChecker was born!
Having spent a career architecting software to be used by millions of people, he applied the same Fortune 500 concepts to HitChecker and architected a platform that would serve the needs of every business owner who had a website that had hundreds or millions of visitors.
HitChecker launches on the first 10 websites. The website owners were all quick to provide feedback. Read some of their testimonials here.
HitChecker grows to be packed with features, many of which come from requests by customers for information and services they needed to understand their website visitors. One of the most popular features is pushing daily, weekly and monthly reports to customer's email inbox so they can get a quick overview during their busy day.
Based on another customer request whose website was hacked, a whole new artificial intelligence engine was added to HitChecker to provide customers with immediate insight into suspicious activity. HitChecker now monitors websites 24x7 to provide an early warning system against hacker attacks and provide that critical time savings for website owners to take quick action.
